To obtain a Florida drivers license, you must do the following:

• Provide proof of Florida vehicle registration
• Provide your social security number
• Surrender your valid driver’s license from another state
• Pass an eye exam
• Pay $20

Note: Drivers license holders from the following states must have a second form of identification confirming U.S. citizenship in order to obtain a Florida Drivers license. The following forms of ID are accepted: original or certified U.S. birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, certificate of naturalization, U.S. military I.D. card with an officer rank.
